A blend of two worlds

Kia Ora + Bonjour!

You may have noticed our French influence in store …
from the up-cycled bike inner tubes in our Fantome bags, to our consciously designed Mero Mero bags, to our sought after children’s playing blocks by Kapla, down to our ethically made, mismatched Caval shoes.

We like to think that we bring together the best of both worlds at Revology. You may have met the lovely Alex (the Frenchie) and Monique (his kiwi wife) already in-store – the two moved back here to New Zealand from France a few years ago with their two children, bringing with them an array of unmatched, timeless French brands. Combining French with locally sourced New Zealand products has been such an enjoyable task and has only emphasised that no matter where you are in the world, there are brands out there that strive to be ethical, consider form, function and their footprint on the planet.

We’d love to see you in-store, so we can pour you a creamy French Hot Chocolate, get out the Gâteaux. C’est le goûter parfait!

Read on for more on our French-inspired chair, as well as our unique selection of French Vintage Furniture and kids favourites, Kapla.

New Shipment arriving of our

French Inspired Chair

Our beginnings lie with our chair: Design #1, Edition 1, designed with 100% recyclable, sustainably sourced composite linen fibres, bio-based resin and recycled brass, and ultimately inspired by the timeless beauty of the classic French Bistro chair. This piece blends innovative and conscious materials with elegant, tried-and-tested design – une mélange de grace et technologie!

Operating from our small town of Wānaka, the chair has been making its way not just around the country but around the world. We have been loving the reaction to our first ever edition, and soon we hope to be bringing out more designs that have been in the pipeline.

We are expecting our next shipment of chair Design #1, Edition 1 this May. Get in touch to pre-order yours today.

Hand- Selected, Artisan, French

Vintage Furniture

Monique and Alex both have a love for vintage. The pair have hand-selected beautiful pieces working with artisans from deep within the French market. Pieces are constantly moving around in-store as they are sold onto their new owners. No two pieces are the same so you never know what you might find in-store. The craftsmanship, history and beauty of these pieces are a rare find in New Zealand, and we are delighted to be giving used and old items a new life and character.

At the core of Revology Design is incorporating timeless design with natural fibres and high quality material. Why not pair a 20th Century Vintage Workbench with a Revology chair, or re-invent movie nights with a 1950s Lita Cinema Projector?

Get in touch for more info on our recent pieces.

Imagination and Creativity

Kapla Building Blocks

The story of Kapla begins in France with founder Tom van der Bruggen falling in love with an old ruined farm near the Tarn river in the south of France. Realising that he could build his own vision and creations with blocks, Kapla was born.

Now, the identical pieces of sustainably sourced, untreated natural sets of French pine blocks can be found in almost every school in France. Our very own Wānaka Primary School now has a couple of sets too.

The blocks can spark the imagination of any child, the designs for which are endless. You can start small, with a 40 piece set, or jump straight in to the 200 piece set. Time to get creative – Allons jouer!
