September’s all about celebrating our wonderful Makers and WHY we love them so much!
At Revology we want to make sure everything in our concept store has a purpose. The first question we ask is; What is the object made from? It has to fall either in the circular economy (materials are recycled and/or recyclable) or the bio economy (melts back into the earth).
Next, who made it? Each object has a story and we make it a top priority to know where each product comes from, supporting fair and ethical practises that empower communities and individuals alike.
Finally, does it fit our form and function guidelines? We seek beauty in elegant and simplistic high quality design that stands the test of time.
We are so proud to support Makers and Designers that share our sustainable and ethical vision both internationally and domestically in Aotearoa with 51% of our products being sourced locally from our beautiful motu.
By supporting locally owned businesses, you not only support keeping small family run businesses afloat alongside their employees, you also directly contribute to your local economy and bonus, it reduces our environmental impact too! The local dollar loops around and creates more opportunity for development and growth for community based groups, better infrastructure and facilities.
You just need to look at all the incredible things our local artisans such as Soap Kitchen Wanaka, Branch Creek Honey and Kopuwai Delta are achieving. On a national scale ReCreate, Mason and Defenders are pathing the way forward in the circular economy. Not to mention internationally Kinta, Fantome and Merchant & Mills. These amazing businesses and brands are working across the board to change the status quo and this is why we love them x

We are excited to have our very own Monique Kelly in store at Revology on Thursday the 22nd of September from 5-7pm teaching us all about herbal tea blends and their medicinal properties. Bring your friends & whanau along and enjoy making your own unique brew to take home to share with loved ones.

1. Nationally – Recreate
ReCreate clothing is fully circular, starting with conscious design, using only 100% GOTS organic cotton, without zippers and trims that are all difficult to recycle. ReCreates empowers people to provide for themselves, their families and their futures. Every purchase you make has an impact — not only creating change within the fashion industry, but transforming the lives of the people who make your clothing. They also provide services for ReSale, RePair and ReCycle options for ReCreate customers.Favourite Piece of ReCreate: Degree Dress

Kinta is by far one of my favourite interior homewares brands, not only have their beautiful products been in the European market for over 25 years but in a socially responsible and sustainable way.
