The Rutunda collection is handmade in Vietnam, designed by Kinta and ‘fair trade’. European designed, functional stoneware, it looks amazing with the wooden products in Kinta’s range. The ceramic is made in a pottery in Hanoi, run by the eighth generation of the family. The ceramist uses local resources for the clay and mixes the (non-toxic) colours himself. These food safe products are baked at high temperatures which make them dishwasher and microwave safe.
#Why We Love Them
Based in the Netherlands, Kinta has been supplying high-quality products to the European Market in a sustainable and socially responsible way for the past 25 years. They look at all parts of their value chain from design, to materials sourcing and also people. Everything is handmade by their partners with whom they have a close relationship. This includes not only engaging in fair trade practices but also going to carfelly selecting partners with similar values, visiting to ensure that good employment practices are implemented and providing further educational or capacity opportunities when needed. The product quality and design speak for itself.
