The Mero Mero award winning “ANNECY” is packed with features. I’ve been trialling its predecessor (the Mini-Squamish) on my bike in Wānaka for the past two years.
First, its super sturdy, it looks as stylish now as it did when we bought it. Second is the versatility. It’s got three strong velcro straps that allow to fix it on the rack, handlebar or on the back of a pram while the comfortable shoulder straps are stored away. It comes off from the bike easy as pie and transforms into a backpack super quick. There’s a space to put your laptop that’s well protected and a side zip for easy access. I’ve had to ride in a few nasty downpours and it’s kept my things super dry and safe. Perfect urban / travel / adventure bag.
The Mero-Mero team have added a few new features to the ANNECY for its V2 of this deisgn. There’s a new material for the base and the back, the Velcro has been reworked and they’ve added a small outside pocket at the base of the back. Inside, the foam in the computer compartment is thicker and the light lining has a nice design by MeroMero. In short: the same, only better!
The formerly the mini-Squamish, the backpack won the French Outdoor Award 2020 (public choice) at ISPO Munich and the Coup de Coeur by OSV during the 2020 VéloVert Bike Festival.
