These knives last forever. In France, it’s hard to find a home that does not have at least one Opinel in its kitchen or picnic basket. Opinel has been operating since 1890 in the Savoie in France and we passed by it every day on our way to drop the kids at school. We have even inherited my father-in-laws much beloved opinel that has been well used and still is.
#Why we love them?
As a company, they are doing some pretty awesome things, like adopting beehives onto their site, reducing energy and waste, and support a number of non-for-profits.
